Darksichord by Electronik Sound Lab is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin for macOS and Windows. It functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin and a VST 3 Plugin. BPB’s sister website 99Sounds recently released Upright Piano, a freeware piano VST plugin based on a set of samples recorded by Rudi Fiasco. The cool thing about the Upright Piano instrument is that it can sound both realistic and lo-fi. The built-in filter, tremolo, and reverb effects can be combined to create a lovely tape-like vibe. The Salamander piano plugin is the latest free piano plugin that I’ve tried out. With this, what you see is what you get. It’s not a crazy in-depth plugin, but it’s efficient. The quality might actually be my favorite to date. With this being said, you may run into problems with it. I’ve seen and heard a few different things going wrong. Keyzone Classic is a piano-based plugin that provides acoustic samples from different pianos. The plugin can be installed on any operating system, be it Mac or Windows, and works with the majority of DAWs. If you want to add a piece of soft piano music in the background of your audio track, Keyzone Classic is the perfect option.

We have tried to keep its original spirit to the fullest, with its peculiarities and “flaws”. So, you should keep in mind that there are no black keys, that it is slightly out of tune and that some notes have more resonance than others (they have their own tonal character).

Play with the included High or Low Pass filters to give it an old recording sound.
