Windows users: From within Studio One, navigate to the Options Locations, and select the VST Plugins tab. By default, Studio One will have C Program Files Vstplugins as the default location. You can also use the Add button to add custom locations. Startup Studio One, click on the Studio One menu, open Options, and click the 'Locations' icon. Select the VST Plug-ins tab. Once the Options window opens, select Locations at the top and then VST Plug-ins from the tabs that appear. This is where we direct the Studio One software to read the location of our Plug-ins. Next, click Add at the bottom left of the window. This will pull up a file browser that will allow us to choose the location of your plug-ins.

I installed the platform update for windows 7 and launched v3. When it got to starting vst3 plugin support it keeps crashing. When I first launched v3 it noticed that I had a previous installation of v2 and wanted to import the settings which I did.
Please help me troubleshoot this crash.
Thanks.

Here is a link on how to debug that particular issue.
For that song, you have a particular VST3 that is having issues.
Please report ht e VST3 in question to see if other people who own that VST can repeat the error.
If they can the developers will fix ASAP.
If not you have and issue with the VST3 install.

jpettit,
Thanks but my issue is opening studio one 3. I cannot even get to the main screen to open a song. When it tried to launch v3 it crashes when it tries to start the vst 3 plugin support.
I have done a new install 3 times now and each time it crashes when starting the vst 3 plugin support.
If I go into the settings file and turn off vst 3 support I can get to the main menu. It does not seems to be a plugin issue since I don't have any plugins in my vst folder yet.
Thanks.

I imported the settings, too. It made me a bit concerned because there really is no explanation for whether this is advantageous when moving to an entirely new version of S1.
I have my Scratch Pad crashing. I wonder if that is related. On a clean install on another partition with no music software, Scratch Pad works. Mystery.
I use: Studio One Pro v5 on i7 7700 win10 PC w16GB RAM and 4.61 on a Mac Pro Tower (Sierra) w/RME & Focusrite interfaces.

The procedure handles that case
See at the bottom.
You have load previous song set on in your setting. ( not a real safe idea BTW)
Do the edit that is suggested at the bottom and it will turn it off
Then you can go through the step to find out which plugin it is.

Installation and Compatibility

***Important Note***: Our plugins (and all other 3rd-party plugins) are only readily compatible with 'Professional' versions of Studio One. If you have an 'Artist' version of Studio One, you'll need to get the VST and AU add-on from Presonus and install it in order to load our plugins in Studio One Artist.

If your Antares plug-ins are not showing up in Studio One (64-bit), please be sure that you have installed the 64-bit VST or AU version of the plug-in. /carbon-electra-vst-free.html.

If your license is for an older 32-bit version, you may need to first purchase an upgrade, or alternatively, use Studio One 3 in 32-bit mode.

The installers for older versions of our plugins can be found here.
