The TDR VOS SlickEQ equalizer is designed for solving mixing and mastering tasks and provides ease of use, musicality and high-quality sound.
The equalizer consists of three semi-parametric filters corresponding to low, middle and high frequencies, and an additional low-cut filter. A choice of four different models is available that determines the Q-factors of parametric filters. The automatic adjustment of the signal level allows you to compensate for changes in the subjectively perceived volume of the audio signal during operation. The equalizer also supports the processing mode of the sum or difference of the stereo channels (M and S) without the need for external conversion.
TDR VOS SlickEQ has an optional non-linear filter mode and three different output saturation modes. These modes allow you to slightly change the color of the sound without the effect of an overloaded sound path. This almost imperceptible to hearing saturation of the signal with harmonics is often associated with analog equipment of the highest class.
64-bit accuracy, combined with a variable internal sampling rate and a differential signal processing model, practically eliminates the problems of digital equalizers, such as spectrum overlays, quantization errors, and frequency swapping.

TDR SlickEQ M (Mastering Edition) extends SlickEQ’s proven concept into a fully-fledged stereophonic equalizer. Specifically developed for the audio mastering engineer, no compromises have been made to deliver an exceptional musical flexibility and audio fidelity.

TDR Kotelnikov is a wideband dynamics processor combining high fidelity dynamic range control with deep musical flexibility. As a descendant of the venerable TDR Feedback Compressor product family, Kotelnikov has directly inherited several unique features such as a proven control scheme, individual release control for peak and RMS content, an intuitive user interface, and powerful, state of the art, high-precision algorithms.

With a sonic signature best described as “stealthy”, Kotelnikov has the ability to manipulate the dynamic range by dramatic amounts, while carefully preserving the original tone, timbre and punch of a musical signal. As such, it is perfectly suited to stereo bus compression as well as other critical applications.

The “Gentleman’s Edition” (GE) adds several improvements to the standard edition’s feature set. The most obvious being an intuitive access to various equal loudness workflows, the ability to specify ratio in a frequency dependent manner, as well as a powerful sidechain high-pass filter allowing continuously variable access over slope and frequency. The Yin/Yang functions allow manipulating the harmonic pattern produced during compression, and a new “insane” quality mode increases processing fidelity even further.

TDR VOS SlickEQ – Gentleman’s Edition takes SlickEQ‘s concept to new heights and adds an exotic “Tilt”-filter flanked by flexible low-pass and high-pass filters. Five distinct EQ models provide a rich set of predefined EQ curves and behaviours for the three main semi parametric filter bands.

SlickEQ GE offers a switchable EQ non-linearity and seven different output stages. These options offer subtle and interesting textures, from the typical “mojo” often associated with high quality analogue audio gear, up to more obvious saturation.

An elaborate auto gain option automatically compensates for changes of perceived-loudness during EQ (within reasonable limits) and a gain-trim feature helps controlling peak overloads with ease. The 64bit multi-rate processing scheme (a.k.a. “internal re-sampling”) practically eliminates typical problems of digital EQ implementations such as frequency-warping, quantization distortion and aliasing.
